Grammy’s Place offers a safe, stigma or judgment free housing option that centers mental wellness as a foundation to happy, healthy and productive lives for marginalized Black Transgender/Gender -Non Binary women/people who may have had a history of substance abuse, may have been Sex Workers, or experienced political and religious persecution, physical / emotional / financial /domestic violence or abuse that want, need and desire a safe space to learn how to have long term safety, stability and prosperity for self and others in our community.

We encourage therapy (gardening, communing with mother Earth or rescue animal therapy), meditation, environmental/racial/economic/gendered activism, organizing, continuing their education, seeking out job training and becoming entrepreneurs and business owners. We guide from a place of lived experience and wisdom to shape future leaders and survivalists who will teach other Black transgender women how to be safe in tumultuous politically charged times and help to build strong community ties, enjoying greater stability and sustained safety.
